Practicing "no strings attached" giving, the Equitable Giving Circle offers food assistance to BIPOC people in need by providing food boxes full of fresh, local produce grown by BIPOC farmers in Oregon. Starting at the seed, this model promotes economic equity, wellness, and healing.
Portland Fruit Tree Project
Founded after seeing how many fruit trees went unharvested year after year, this group reduces food waste and increases access to healthy food at the same time. By organizing and empowering community members to harvest urban fruit trees, they reduce food waste on a local level. Then, the harvest bounty is shared with those in need of fresh, healthy food.
